Answers.com offer a range of tools for their reference tool that includes an encyclopedia, dictionary and thesaurus. For example you can embed a widget in your website, blog or wiki so that when readers double-click on any word on your pages a pop-up window appears with an explanation of the word or indeed phrase. Alternatively, it is possible to load an add-on to your browser so that you can get a reference for any word on any page you visit - provided of course it's listed in  Answers.com. And it can even be downloaded to your computer so that it does the same for any word on your desk top.

Now the question is this does this make life too easy for learners, or can it, because it speeds things up so much, encourage reading?
